Getting a Trip Site: How it works
Start by giving us a call or sending us an email (see below)
We discuss options, prices, and timeframes with you, using
email, phone, Skype - whichever works best for you.
We can provide you with a proposal (via email). You can decide
immediately, or take it to the appropriate committee in your
organization.
Once we agree on a plan:
- We will invoice you and send an agreement; once the invoice is
paid and the signed agreement is returned, we begin our work
(often we can do preliminary discussions during this
transition period)
- We will hold a series of discussions with you by phone and
email to gather all the relevant details; while we have a framework for
your Trip Site, we are dependent upon you for the content
- We can contact other people involved in the trip for their
input, or you can contact them on our behalf
- As we get information, we incorporate it into the webpages
- We will need pictures of people involved and any photos of your
destination that you want to include
- Next we build your Trip Site, creating web pages based
on the information you have provided to us
- At some point, we will put up a version of the Trip Site on our
server for your approval; we will make reasonable changes
- When the site is approved, we set it up 'live' so your travelers
or prospects can find and use the information
- As people sign up for the trip, we interview them (or ask you to
gather information, if that works better) and include their
info in the webpages
- We recommend you schedule things so that the Trip Site will go
live at least 3 months before the trip begins
- Most pages are generally static; we will make reasonable changes
as requested for no additional charge
- Itinerary and pricing changes are likely and expected for the
life of the Trip Site, and we will reflect these for no
additional charge
- Certain options (Events, Check List) imply regular updating,
and such changes are made for no additional charge
- The Trip Site will remain up for four months (we anticpate you
will want it up for three months before the trip begins), unless the Trip
Memories option has been selected; in this case, the duration of the Trip Site
has been agreed to and included in the pricing
